The companies/factories included in the list started to be built in 2016 and the process continues to this day. Starting from 2015, the “Xinjiang” authorities confiscated the privately-owned lands of the Uyghur people in southern “Xinjiang”, with the excuse that the lands would be converted to collective, high-tech farm lands. In reality, the authorities distributed the lands to Han Chinese people who were brought to the East Turkistan with various special incentives. As a result, large number of Uyghurs became jobless labor forces.

Starting May 2015, the authorities used three-month time to detain large number of Uyghurs for “re-education”. For the “jobless” Uyghurs this kind of actions did not look abnormal. In the beginning of 2016, the central CCP government held a “Third Xinjiang Conference”, in which the authorities made arrangement to build new companies/factories in southern “Xinjiang” to use those “excess Uyghur laborers” effectively. The owners of all the companies/factories were the Han people brought to East Turkistan by the “Xinjiang” government.

UIC has learned that the Uyghur workers in those companies/factories work 12 hours a day, and get 1,500 – 1,700 Yuan ($230 – $260) a month; they can return home only once a week, but cannot stay home overnight; the children of those Uyghur workers were detained in party-run children detention centers built close to those factories; the parents can visit their children only once a week.

Almost all of the companies/factories included in our lists cannot be found on the Google Map; they can only be found from Chinese Baidu Maps and/or Gaode Maps.

(Uyghur Information Center. Completely shovel up the roots of “two-faced people,” dig them out, and vow to fight these two-faced people until the end.” — Maisumujiang Maimuer, Chinese religious affairs official, August 10, 2017, on a Xinhua Weibo page.

The most effective method the CCP regime used to speed up the process to convert the Uyghurs into Han Chinese by assimilation is to break off the Uyghur cultural chain, build children detention camps, and lock up the Uyghur kids in those detention camps. Starting from 2015, the CCP authorities converted all of the Uyghur elementary and middle schools into boarding schools, and starting from 2016, they built boarding daycare centers for the Uyghurs kids in all Uyghur farms and country-sides.

The children detention camps we were able to find are mostly located close to adult concentration camps. Many short videos posted to Chinese social media such as Chinese Wechat prove that the so-called “children daycare centers” are actually children detention centers tasked with raising the Uyghur kids in Han Chinese language and Han Chinese cultural environment.

For some security reasons, we could not give out more information than the above about how we obtained the information given in this list.

See also:
https://www.hrw.org/report/2021/04/19/break-their-lineage-break-their-roots/chinas-crimes-against-humanity-targeting

(Uyghur Information Center.
