1. Shohrat Zakir, chairman of the so-called Xinjiang Uyghur Autonomous Region (XUAR), is in intensive care

A message to the Uyghur Information Center on March 15, 2021 stated that during a meeting on the issue of poverty alleviation that was held on March 11, 2021 at the Chinese CCP Building in Urumqi, Shohrat Zakir, chairman of XUAR, lost consciousness and collapsed. Then, he was taken to the emergency department of the Chinese Medicine Hospital on Huanghe Road in Urumqi. As of March 13, he was still undergoing treatment at the hospital.

2. Among key persons in the repression of the Uyghurs, Zhu Hailun was fired from his position and Dai Guanghui has been arrested

A message to the Uyghur Information Center on March 15, 2021 stated that as of February 26, 2021, all rights of Zhu Hailun, CCP deputy secretary for XUAR were suspended and the Chinese Central Commission for Discipline Inspection started its investigation on him. In addition, Dai Guanghui, Zhu’s main sidekick, has been removed from office. Dai, a former head of the Kashgar Municipal Public Security Bureau, had served as police chief for 35 years in Kashgar and Kuchar police departments, and is fluent in Uyghur language. In 2015, he was transferred to the provincial Public Security Bureau as a Deputy Chief due to his outstanding contribution to the repression of the Uyghurs. In 2017, he was transferred to the provincial Politics and Law Committee as Deputy Secretary to lead the Uyghur repression movement, at the behest of Zhu. In September of 2020, Dai’s rights were suspended and he was investigated due to the fact that the leakage of classified documents of the Politics and Law Committee happened under his watch. The executioner Dai, whose hands were stained in Uyghur blood, has officially been arrested since April 18, 2021.

3. In Chinese provinces, factories employed Uyghur forced laborers have begun repatriating Uyghurs back to Uyghurland (aka: East Turkestan )

A message to the Uyghur information Center on March 15, 2021 stated that in Chinese provinces, factories have begun repatriating Uyghur forced laborers back to Uyghurland (aka: East Turkestan) to prevent foreign journalists from constantly visiting and receiving information from them. For example, all Uyghur workers at Shenzhen Longgang Xin Shengya electronic products have been repatriated back to Uyghurland (aka: East Turkestan).

4. Abdullah Damullam, imam of the Badawan Mosque in Urumqi, has been arrested

A message to the Uyghur Information Center on March 15, 2021 stated that Abdullah Damullam, imam of the Badawan Mosque in Urumqi, has been arrested since January 10, 2021 but his location of detention is still a mystery.
